So, I am trying something new on the blog today.
For some time now, I have been reading Random 5 Friday where some of my blogger friends link up.
I've decided to give this a try, and see how I like it.
Rules are: Share 5 random facts about you, your day, your pets, your kids, whatever!
Random 5 Friday
The new snow plow driver in our township is awesome, he is making winter a lot easier to handle.
I received several new cookbooks for Christmas, I am so excited to start reading them.
I wish our snow plow driver was our mail carrier. A PO Box may be in order if we want to get our mail.
Trying a new recipe for cabbage and ham soup tomorrow. It was recommended by a friend.
Our Christmas tree will be up for a few more days. My parents make a point of visiting every year to see our tree, and the way the roads have been, they haven't been here yet.

OH, I Really LIKE Your Pupster!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy happy New Year!
I like your doggie too . . . looks like he is living in snow land . . .
ReplyDeleteFun stuff! Glad you decided to link up!
ReplyDeletewelcome! My first time was last week! Your dog looks like a sweetie! In the Catholic Church, Christmas season lasts till Jan. 12. So take your time taking down your tree!
ReplyDeleteVisiting on R5F! Nice looking dog. We have an agreement in our house--Christmas decor goes up on Thanksgiving weekend, and comes down Jan 1st.

So happy to meet you here at Random 5! What a wonderful dog you have. Our Christmas decor will start coming down bit by bit, beginning with the lesser used rooms and finally the tree is last. Happy New Years and I hope to see you again at Random 5!
ReplyDeleteI am just a reader at Random 5 and really enjoy everyone's photos and thoughts. I cannot imagine living in a place where that much snow would shut everything down! If we get 2 or 3 inches here, everyone panics! ;)
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Random 5 Friday! Love the dog shot! My dog loves the snow! Our tree stays up until the darn thing is practically bare, because nobody wants to deal with it! Taking it all down is no fun at all! Anyway, welcome and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Aloha
ReplyDeletecan't wait to hear what you recipes you will try 1st ... have fun. i love new cook books. i love trying new foods. not sure the hubby does as much as me ... but it is sure fun learning something new. ( :
ReplyDeleteYou did great! But don't get me started on mail delivery. It's a sore subject around here.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of your pup in the snow -- beautiful! Thanks so much for joining in this week!
Welcome! Love your dog
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you on Random 5 Friday! Beautiful dog you've got there! Cabbage and ham soup sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHello new R5F girl! Love the photo of your pup! I just ordered a British Good Housekeeping cookbook from the 1950s. Robert and I have one here in England and I wanted a copy to take to our other home in Vancouver. I love cookbooks too; have since I went to Cordon Bleu in my 20s. Looks like you had a white Christmas. Ours has been a mixed bag of everything but snow. :( Oh well. I shouldn't complain. One year there was so much snow that England ground down to a complete halt for several days...just before Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI hope your parents make it to see the tree!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, what a cute photo! Such an adorable dog. I got a new cookbook and am excited to try out the recipes!
